The boat you see is used every summer for boating on the Mississippi river near the Quad Cites. The restoration took
two winters in our basement. We purchased the boat the summer of
"1997" and have been lovingly taking care of it ever since. The
outboard engine is a "1958" 40HP Mercury with a bronze prop and the
trailer is also a" 58" model year. The title of the boat shows it's
a" 1963", however most states did not require a title for watercraft
back in "58". Also the Yellow Jacket Boat company
went out of business in "1959" so this boat could not be a
"63". After six months of research we believe the boat to be a
"1958" and since the motor and trailer were also "58" we
believe that this was a complete set purchased in "1958".
